The research was designed as a quantitative causal-comparative study. For the collection of data, standardized instruments were adopted. The instrument was thus duly validated by experts and a pilot study from 60 participants. The population of the study comprised undergraduate university students of the Lahore district. A proportionate stratified random sampling technique was used to select the sample. The selected sample comprised 528 students. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 25. Data analysis included independent sample t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The results revealed the significant correlation between the variables and academic stress was found a significant predictor of mental health issues. It is therefore recommended that the institutions should develop awareness among the students and their parents, regarding the issues under study. Moreover, enhancing the depth and breadth of the research scope can help to get further probe into the issue under considerations.
