This research paper presents an analytical study of Rai Fasihullah Jarrall’s contributions to journalism, editorial work, and literary preservation, particularly focusing on the regional and national media landscape of Pakistan. Nurtured in an intellectually rich family environment under the guidance of his father, Khalid Pervez (Khalid Sherani), and mentored by prominent literary figures such as Professor Sharif Kunjahi during the sessions of "Atwari Kath" at the Al-Mir Library Trust, Rai Fasihullah developed a deeply rooted ethos of "Art for Life". His journalistic journey spans contributions to leading national dailies, including Nawa-i-Waqt, Daily Dunya, Mashriq, Express, and Aaj Kal, as well as working as a sub-editor for the weekly Kamraniyan. A key milestone in his career was the founding of the fortnightly literary journal Gulposh Wadiyan (2006–2012), which served as an intellectual platform promoting Kashmiri literature, resistance discourse, cultural identity, and constructive dialogue. Furthermore, Rai Fasihullah's work stands out for its rigorous research orientation, specifically in discovering and documenting obscure regional writers, local histories, and cultural heritage—providing vital primary sources for contemporary MPhil and PhD scholars. Rejecting sensationalism, his balanced editorial vision emphasizes social reform, objectivity, and ethical journalism.
